Professional Career and Work Experience

  • Diana De Camps began her professional career as a la lawyer in a prestigious Dominican law firm, where she worked from 2004 to 2010. At De Camps Vasquez Valera she has held several positions and is currently the partner in charge of the dispute resolution department.
  • Since the beginning of her career she has been involved in important litigation cases of various practice areas of law and industries before different administrative entities and jurisdictions, including the Constitutional Court.
  • Mrs. De Camps has represented local and foreign companies of great relevance in the national economy, including multinational goods and services providers, tourism developers and renewable energy projects, in transactions and complex litigation that entail parallel proceedings at courts of different jurisdictions.
  • She has a broad experience in public procurement and public procurement litigation. Also, her areas of expertise encompass investigation and drafting of due diligence reports for mergers and acquisitions of companies within regulated and non-regulated markets.
  • Mrs. De Camps has represented local and foreign companies of great relevance in the national economy, including multinational goods and services providers, tourism developers and renewable energy projects, in transactions and complex litigation that entail parallel proceedings at courts of different jurisdictions.
  • In 2014 Diana De Camps Contreras was sworn as a legal interpreter for the English language.

Education and Awards

  • Diana De Camps studied Law at Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra, graduating with honors -magna cum laude- (2003). She obtained a master’s degree in Telecommunication Law and Information Technology at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (2004); Master’s in Economic Regulation at Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra (2008), and Masters in Constitutional Law and Public Law at Universidad Castilla La Mancha (2012).
  • In 2002, she represented her alma mater, Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra, in the international moot court arbitration competition Willem C. Vis, celebrated in Vienna, Austria. In 2004, while she was completing her master’s degree of Telecommunication Law and Information Technology at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid she was an intern at the Secretary of State of Science and Technology of the Ministry of Tourism and Commerce of Spain, where she advised on the drafting of reports and proposals regarding the application of EU directives in audiovisual matters, and compliance control of the obligations of telecommunication companies specialized in TV and radio.
