Her professional practice is focused on business law and corporate law, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, negotiation and execution of contracts, banking and financial transactions, and project finance structuring in energy, tourism, and other sectors.

Professional Career and Work Experience

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Balcácer accumulated experience in both the public and private sectors. She served as a legal consultant for the Fiber Optics Telecommunications Unit. She also worked as senior attorney in a prestigious law firm, providing legal advice to local and foreign clients in business transactions and in the drafting, negotiation, and execution of multiple contracts, including without limitation, services contracts in general, financing agreements, trust agreements, telecommunication agreements, franchise agreements, agency and distribution contracts, shareholders agreements, among others.

She has relevant experience in the elaboration and implementation of legal structures for complex corporate transactions, and purchase and sale of high- value assets, as well as legal advice for the development and operation of investment projects.

Education

Law Degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) (2004). Subsequently, she obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M) Degree in Business Law from Universitat Pompeu Fabra of Barcelona (2006).
