Professional Career and Work Experience
Laura Correa Fernández started her career in Compañía Dominicana de Teléfonos, S.A. (Claro Dominicana), where she acquired considerable experience in corporate law, telecommunications law, migratory law, and intellectual property. After this, she entered a prestigious law firm, where she advised clients on legal-environmental issues, gave regulatory assistance to tourist investment and real estate projects as well as assistance in exemption procedures in order to make viable both national and international investments.
Ms. Correa Fernández entered the firm in August 2019 as an associate attorney. She advises clients on corporate and business matters, as well as the creation and dissolution of companies, drafting of contracts, acquisition of permits and licenses for the operation of projects in the energy sector. She’s participated and assisted clients in negotiations with public institutions and the preparation of due diligence reports for the merger and acquisition of companies, also advising clients on complex project finance.
Laura Correa Fernández obtained her law degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) (2018). Additionally, she completed several courses, seminars and conferences in alternative dispute resolution, constitutional law, real estate law and civil procedure law.
